OCD and the duck article problem

OCD : Cup on counter, unused, wife puts in dishwasher. 

(cats distracted, I had to go to the bathroom)

Next to our house is a stream that’s fed from a big pond filled with tons of geese and some ducks. Scott thinks the duck who floats over to our house is always the same duck. I say they’re different ducks on different days. Therein: the Article Problem.
